Hands-On With Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Moon Men's Replica

Another year, another Reverso. In many ways, Jaeger-LeCoultre Men's Replica has fallen victim to the popularity of its swiveling replica watch, having to come out with new iterations every year to satisfy the hungry collectors. While the big JLC story this year was the replica watchmaker’s round replica watches with sector dials, there were still some nice updates in the Reverso range as well, including this absolute stunner.

Last year, I went hands-on with one of my favourite Reverso models in recent memory, the ultra-sophisticated Reverso Tribute Calendar. Well, this is essential that replica watch pared down a little. First off, it comes in a stainless steel case, for one. It's also satisfied with being a dual timezone with a date and moonphase indicator instead of a more complicated triple calendar. As a result it is quite a bit more casual than its big brother. The date is again positioned at six o’clock and is displayed by a small hand with a red crescent tip.

Jaeger-LeCoultre has also given this replica watch a beautiful blue dial on the side displaying the second timezone (usually you'd use this to keep the time back home if you were using the replica watch while traveling). This is about as contemporary a color as you'll see from Jaeger-LeCoultre and it really works here, plus theres nice contrast between the opaline interior and the clous de Paris texture on the exterior. There's also a two-tone blue day/night indicator at six o'clock and the applied indexes and polished hands. It’s a winning combination, and one which I really like.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Moon Replica displays the time in two timezones, with the home time display on the back.

On the local time side, the replica watch very much takes after the Tribute Calendar, with a frosted silver dial that allows the moonphase display to really pop. Because the day and month apertures are gone, the company’s logo is also higher up to create better balance in the upper portion of the dial.

You'll also notice the multiple tiers of the dial. The date display is recessed and doesn't have the frosted texture. It makes everything much easier to read and offers another little detail to admire. Also, the hands, applied hour markers, and chapter ring are all blue, standing out nicely against the silver color and harmonizing with the sky in the moonphase display.
